Introduction
From 1901 to 1972 Paulus Folkertsma lived in Friesland.
He was a school teacher at the primary school in Aldeboarn, board member of several societal and church committees, but, above all, he was a composer. Also due to Folkertsma’s great modesty there is known too little about this outstanding composer, not only in Friesland but certainly also outside of it. By this website we hope to contribute to the memory of this composer and to enlarge the knowledge of his work and, as a result, the appreciation thereof.
